Will You save money switching the lightbulbs?

light bulbs Will You save money switching the lightbulbs?

Would switching the light bulbs to those little spiral bulbs really make that much of a difference?

Big difference, especially if you get a bargain on the CFLs. Even if you pay list price, they will pay for themselves quickly. They also last 10 times as long as incandescent bulbs, on the average. As far as the mercury goes, the amount is minuscule. I used to have more in my teeth when silver amalgum fillings were used. Besides, most of the electricity is generated by burning coal, which releases mercury into the air.
