Biomass fuels, wood, peat, grass, paper, cardboard, biodiesel, hydrogen, alcohols, methane. And Wind energy, geothermal, tidal, solar (either passive or photovoltaic.)
Depending on the production method, these can be carbon neutral. However Carbon Dioxide is such a tiny fraction of the atmosphere though and the graphs have been so badly misrepresented that it should not be a significant concern.
People can do more to simply reduce the amount of energy they use, Many people would be surprised at how wasteful they truly are.
Existing coal can be burned cleaner than it is, while not exactly renewable, it is plentiful, as is natural gas and petroleum. They are getting more expensive because fewer people are owning the companies and therefore are able to monopolize the marketplace.
