You probably have lots of jewelry sitting around that haven’t been touched in months. Maybe they don’t go with any of your outfits, or maybe you just don’t like them anymore. But it seems like such a waste to let them collect dust. Instead, why not go green and recycle those unused necklaces, earrings, and bracelets?

First, you will need to gather together all of your jewelry and pick out the pieces you would like to recycle. Anything with neat chains or beads will work. Even your old broken necklaces may still have usable parts. Then take them all apart, piece by piece, setting aside any parts that you would like to reuse.

Pieces can be mixed and matched. Necklaces can be made into bracelets, and pieces from bracelets can be turned into necklaces. If you have an old pin or brooch you never wear, consider making it into a necklace by attaching it to a chain or piece of cord.
